I recently managed to make Onigiri rice balls. It was inevitable for this pic to jump at my mind and take it over until I drew it, so there you have it: Trixie Pixie eating an Onigiri rice ball.
This also shows a few more improvements on the fairy character. I'm slowly evolving my Fairies into the awesome (and cute) versions drawn for to by Marcos Pinto. I've already changed Trixie's ball-tipped antennae for the drop-tipped ones in a previous pic, but here you can see other changes.
To begin with, her body is now bigger, making room for slightly longer legs (while still very short and cute) and her wings are longer. The most important change, however, are her hands: Trixie has hands!!
Up until now I've drawn my Fairies with extremely simplistic ball-shaped hands, just because they were easy to draw. But Marco's version of my Fairies proved me very wrong. Here I'm changing them for proper three-fingers-and-a-thumb, cartoonish hands. In honesty, my Fairies' hands will still be very short and small, but at least now they have proper fingers to grab things.
I'll keep evolving my Fairy characters. In the meantime, just enjoy watching her eat a treat at least twice as big as she is.
Don't ask me how she actually does it.
Magic, probably.

Four-finger ones may be useful because you can have a wider range of expressions with those( look! pinkie out! XD )... but, mitten-like hands are still so very cute - well, you said yourserlf, on keeping your character´s fingers still short, though^^
Bon appetit, Trixie Pixie^^
