Within minutes of reading the response, I had a sketch pooped out of Rainbow Dash (who else could pull off being a giant robot pony?) dressed up like a VF-1. I liked the doodle too much to let it go and I proceeded to waste hours making it a finished drawing in Inkscape. I freakin' love vector arting.
You know, I do believe this is the first time I've ever drawn anything Robotech/Macross related. I have no clue how that happened.
Original scribble drawn in Art Rage. Final virtual inking and coloring done in Inkscape. Signature added with Fireworks, because Adobe decided to nom on all of my file associations without asking me. >:V
