This was my halloween costume for 2006, "The Grim Rapper". the concept was a combination of death and flava flav, and it was put together for about $25. Notice the pimp cane, which is a painted wooden roller brush handle cut down. The skull came from a wal-mart "skull staff", which was made of PVC. I repainted the head gold, along with a spare clock I already had. the cloak was generic death garb from Target.

Fun was had, and it worked well.
