Kazuki the Kitsune and his Albino Lanner Falcon Arianwyn.
Kazuki: Japanese name meaning "peaceful tree, tree of harmony"
Arianwyn; Welsh name meaning "holy silver"
Kazuki Saito
Age: 25 (Kazuki), 7 (Arianwyn)
Personality: Cocky, smooth talker, determined, refined tastes
Species: Kitsune
Bio: Kazuki was born into one of the many Neo-Gypsy tribes and grew up to be one of their best fortune tellers. Many believed that he genuinely possessed the Sight and could see how the future would unfold due to his predictions' eerie way of always coming true. His mother was the best dancer in their tribe and passed along her grace, beauty, and kind nature to her son. He never knew his father and respected his mother's wishes by not asking about the man.
Arianwyn entered his life when he found her as a small, sickly chick in a dirty cage in an underground market. Kazuki's heart ached to see an innocent little creature suffer, so he convinced the man trying to sell her that since she was so ill she wasn't worth her upkeep and offered to take her off of his hands. His good looks and silver tongue served him well, and he walked away not only with the bird, but with a clean cage and silk scarf as well. He nursed her back to health and discovered that she had beautiful white feathers under all of the dirt. She returned his kindness with intense loyalty to him and loved nothing more than to perch on his arm or shoulder while he told fortunes. Her pale plumage also lent her a spiritual appearance that helped reinforce Kazuki's mystical vibe.
When Kazuki reached 21 years of age, the head of his tribe arranged a marriage for him with the daughter of a more powerful tribe's leader. Kazu adamantly refused, stating in no uncertain terms that he would marry only for love, and he could only love a man. For his insolence, he was banished and forbidden to ever return to the tribe or travel with any other on penalty of death. He accepted his punishment, but warned that if any harm came to his mother because of his decision, there would be severe repercussions for any involved. With his reputation for having mystical powers, no one dared to test him, and left his mother in peace, even when she skirted the laws of the tribe by commuicating with her son.
Kazuki left the tribe peacefully and set up shop in a nearby city, plying his trade and earning a reputation for eerie accuracy among both the powerful elite and regular people who paid for his services. He developed a love of live theater, especially operas and musical. Settling down in one place suited him and allowed him to indulge his curiosity about his Japanese heritage. This eventually led him to the only Japanese restaurant in the city run by another Kitsune, Tsukiko's. It was there that he met Kashmere and was intrigued by the beautiful young cat. He wasted no time in asking Kash to go out with him, and respected his need for time to decide. When Kash finally accepted his offer, he showed the young cat a wonderful night of dinner and theater the likes of which he'd never seen. After many more dates and Kazuki eating his dinner at Tsukiko's, the two finally got close enough to move their relationship to the next level.
