This was the last of my commissions done only in colored pencils, due to the time it takes and the risk of burnout (I started this before I got my Prisma markers, which take far less time and hassle to color images). Warphammer's char is a broadwing hawk; the dragon is just a symbol he likes, which I added in an egg-shaped, yin-yang pose. Please don't tell me that I messed-up on the hawk's markings, his anatomy or the jessies, or that the background looks flat and undetailed, because this pic is supposed to be stylized and not perfectly true-to-life. (I wanted the contrast of detailed characters set against a simple background.) BTW, the colors are MUCH more vivid IRL, the details more clear, and the original is quite large--at least for my usual work.

I thought this was amazing in B&W, but *POW*, it's powerful yet ethereal in color too! Wow!
I like youur comment about it being stylized and not completely true-to-life! I am the same way with my stuff LOL, Like you didn't know that!); I love art that looks photorealistic of course, but when I see at that's stylized, graphic, or symboloc, it really "calls" to me, you know? Like, I'm seeing that the artist is MORE than just someone with great attention to detail and a good draftsman - I'm seeing the artist actually pull from their imagination and CREATE something that is uniquely and wonderfully their own. :D And that's YOU, m'dear SwanSis! :D
