bexanne - Time: Bout 1 hourStill trying to get the hang of this painting thing. Pretty fun to do but I think my style is too strict for it. I'll have ot make some changes and stuff as I go to fit more into my style.
*As a note, the main focus was just the face and hair. not the ears or scarf or anything.

Watch people paint. I watched a few speed paints and a few streams here or there. I learn alot through watching processes. In the end I used my own process to paint. But it does help.
Learn about colors. When to use saturated colors. When to use vibrant colors. What blend well. What don't. Opposign colors that work well? Like yellow and purple.
Play around with all the brushes you can. It can change up thing quite alot when painting.
Paint in order. Start with the lowest layer. Such as skin. Then work up. Clothing then hair last or so on and so forth.

i've been using sai, and yesterday, i used photoshop for the first time, i'm not sure which i like better, im used to sai, but i kinda like photoshops set up... I finally figured out how multiply layers work. >.> and how to make a transparent background for line art!

I'm learning it. theres things i can do in photoshop, that i havent figured out how to do in sai, but i used sai for the past 2 years, and yesterday, was the first time photoshop using. O.o
