A few days ago, I saw this little guy on the ground, and he let me get close enough to snap a few pictures of him. I'm not sure of the species, but I thought he was quite adorable. And I do actually like the badly-out-of-focus foreground.

EDIT: According to someone on deviantArt, this is a newt. I'm not sure enough to change the title or description, but I'll definitely put it up here.

EDIT 2: Looking at some other pictures I took, it looks fairly similar to the California Coastal Range Newt.
