Oh man!! Nice! Someone totaled my car on february and I'm still looking for a new car :C. My way to work takes about an hour too, and other than work, I travel a LOT. I need a comfortable, pleasant ride. You made me curious about these haha, so I'll check them out :D Might get another Zuki in the end though.
Damn sorry to hear about your accident, that sucks. Civics are chill but the suspension is a little stiff. For more comfort I'd go with a Toyota. Honda might be better with the mpgs tho but I'm not sure. Susukis are dope as hell but what'd you do for repairs? Aren't shops rare for those?
if you really need confort (like my landlord, he has really bad neuropathy, so cant travel without cushy as hell seats) you might look at 99'-02' buick LeSabre's or any 90's model buick REgal.
both models are ridiculously confortable, and the problems are well documented, and easy to prevent (oil pump on the LeSabre's [3800 series II] and AC pump/Front Struts on the regals [3800 series I])
plus, if you look around, you can pick up a 99' LeSabre for bout 1300-1500 =^_^=
