Opening scene from one of my earliest childhood TV shows. Highly probable to have caused me becoming furry. The text on the linen translates to "Janosch's dream hour", and the bear to the left is called the "big fat forest bear". :o]
The animation may have been silly and unprofessional, but the stories were deep, dreamy and unhurried. I loved it. One of my favourite episodes in German:

I don't think this series has ever been broadcast in any other country than Germany? The only things I found so far on the Web:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Big-Fat-F...../dp/6303382509 (English)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5h_p.....eature=related (Spanish)
I hereby claim to have submitted the first Janosch related picture to FA.
The idea and the series is © Janosch (Horst Eckert).

The cartoon was dubbed into English and shown in Canada as Janosch's Dream World. The bear you drew was my favorite thing about the show. I love the little guy! I'm thinking of trying my hand at drawing him (in one English language episode, the bear calls himself Janosch), and maybe draw him with my own cartoon character Angel.
