Incredibly emotional. I must say, many people can't capture the -emotion- of birds without adding a human element to them (such as eyebrows, eyewhites and pupils, etc)... but you did it here. My god, that is such a SAD bird.

I literally stumbled upon this picture by chance and I have to say.....I JUST lost my pair of 13 year old love birds this past weekend.
They were both male, but they died at exactly the same time...or at least the same day.
I came to find them huddled together in their birdy-bed with one slightly over the other, I think the one on the bottom went first and the second just knew it was his time to follow and lost the will to go on alone. It was a very sad thing to see and this picture makes me miss them even more now......they are very loving birds when it comes to being mated to another.

This is a truly beautiful and moving piece. Excellent work!
