Recently I got back into doing watercolors, and a few nice pieces came out of the time. Natalia, a graceful otter enjoying her time in her second home, the sapphire sea. She's adorned with a collection of her ocean jewels of shells, pearls and grasses. For this piece I also used silver paint mixed into the background to give it a shimmer, and the edges of her skirt are decorated with gold paint that flashes in the light. Sadly, scanners don't like to show this off and just look dark and flat.

Finished piece is 11x8.5in
I hope to take some very nice scans of this piece and have prints ready for Califur, the original will also be up for auction in the artshow.
