Wildly different time periods. Tomarctos in the upper right is a little out of scale; it's the ancestor of modern foxes. The dire wolf (C. dirus) is much later. The big differences between dire wolves and modern wolves are pretty subtle - very slightly different heads and limbs. Anyway, just trying to get back in practice after a while not painting.
