Since im bored at the moment... I figured I would check in before the con in the next couple days.
For those who know me, I have a ritual of driving my big red truck to this con every year. However this year will be an exception in that I am bringing my antique 1983 Mercedes turbo diesel..
She's not perfect (yet) and I still haven't put the rear seat back in from detailing the rear passenger area, but I thought 'What the hell. I am going for style points this year.'
Not pictured it will have issued for the weekend the standard issue Chubbs (the horse) license plate mounted on the front.
So all your furballs, I look forward to seeing everyone in Novi, and wish those who can attend a safe trip and will see you soon!

They are hard to find in fair to good condition. And I got really lucky on this old girl. Im the second owner and bought it from a doctor in chicago. She was well taken care of and has only 150k on the clock. She isn't pristine but still is in good cosmetic and mechanical shape for her age.
She does run like a clock. Quiet and smooth power yet. When I've pulled the oil cap off while it was running next to no blow by gasses came out, so she's still tight inside. Only thing she does, and I'm pretty sure it just either needs new injector nozzles or a good cleaning and a balance of pressure, is she'll smoke a little when you start it, or if she idles for a little bit.
But so far it's not burning any oil.
I just arrived at FCN in Detroit, and I drove across the entire lower length of Michigan and only used 1/4 tank of fuel. Amazing for a 4,000lb vehicle.
