
Once the client had settled on design for Rosemary, the next task was sorting out an outfit for his character Tony. Once again doing a little bit roleplaying and having Rosemary standing there wearing her finalized outfit made the process go quicker.

Gee it doesn't seem like that big of thing? The selection of a man's clothing is just as important for as the woman's in a piece like this. It's just part of the process for me. Fortunately I had client who was willing to look at several designs beyond just the basic jeans and T-shirt idea.
That's kinda what I thought. "Isn't that an oxymoron?"
Some columnist in the local paper asked the question as to why men in general tend to dress like unmade beds in comparison to our female counterparts. She hit the nail on the head, but for the life of me I have a difficult time imagining it any other way.
And this is from one who strives to draw recognizable, accurate clothing/shoes/etc on his characters.
