I'm not a huge fan of them. The first one was kind of funny and each subsequent one has been worse. Magic was better than Shed, IMO, but eh. I can see how some people like them and I can definitely understand hating them. :P

It boggles my mind how some people gripe mightily about porn of the ponies while giving crap like that a pass.

Er...yeah...there are people who do that? It really seems like kind of an all or nothing situation. :P

I don't keep up much with ~brony happenings~ or whatever, I don't read EQD or fics or even go on YouTube much anymore [I watch episodes on my phone and that's about it]. Thankfully, this keeps me away from much of the idiots, haha. But I do feel kind of out of the loop sometimes. :P

What surprises me even more is how many people think they are amazing. The first one was ok as a joke kind of thing, sort of a tribute to John Kricfalusi, but it kinda failed at that. Each one since has just gone downhill. Personally, I think there are a lot better animators in the community. The artist behind Ask The Crusaders is very close to show quality images and animation, but barely gets any mention in the community.

Actually Discord ate Celestia, Twi failed to summon a zombie Dash and created said demon afterwards. Still wondering how he will pull of a Rainbow Dash movie with that premise. And yeah, the movies are horrible, but short enough to endure them.

I actually enjoy a bit of out-of-character moments in fan works if it's at least funny, but hotdiggitydemon's cartoons are like a slightly less retarded Ren and Stimpy cartoon.

Also, moments after this, Fluttershy discovers that Angel has his own Youtube page... and has filled it with candid videos of Fluttershy doing cute things. He's made thousands off the ad revenue alone.

Haha, totally wouldn't surprise me. Angel seems like a very enterprising kind of bunny rabbit. ;)

But he spends most of the money on food, shelter and medicine to help all the other animals in Fluttershy's absence.

I can see why you'd dislike Hotdiggedydemon's parodies, but I enjoy them because I get the joke. What he's doing isn't like Cupcakes where you just type & that's it; it's a parody of the grim crapsack-fic that pops up in fandoms all the time. Maintaining a Tumblr on his Applejack with illustrations, hours put into (flash) animation, you can see that in his heart he really does like the series. He's not a troll hater, but a troll fan (enjoys the subject, but chooses to troll because the reactions are hilarious), and I guess it helps that I've followed his stuff before the Pony craze. I always thought HotDiggedyDemon's SHED.MOV was a "Cupcakes" clone personally. His pony flash in my opinion seem to have jumped the shark after DRESS.MOV came out.
