I remember someone said that 9/11 was like the Kennedy assassination, everyone remembers where they where when they heard about it/saw it. I was in my art class (my first class of the day) in my freshmen year of high school.

It's one of those things you never forget.

In the Afghan Civil War? Iraq? China? North Korea? Africa? Israel? Palestine? Pakistan?

What about all those killed by murderers, drunk drivers, rapists, gang war.

Those lost to disease, famine, plague..

All the thousands and thousands of them, every week, of every month, of every year.

What about THEM?

It's an anniversary, of course it's going to be about those who died this day.

Duh.

My point is, it's pointless.

You'd have to have an 'anniversary' EVERY DAY.

More people die EVERY DAY than did in 9/11, of things that CAN BE FIXED.

I read your conversation, and I just wanted to shed light on the fact that I loved what you had to say. You seem to think a little more clearly about things that are happening. I'll give it, yeah it was a scary thing to have happen, its not everyday a plane crashed into an "important" building and kills an amount of people to that scale in one shot, so thats a bit freaky. But your point is so powerful. I couldn't have worded any bit of your argument any better myself! The best thing I can I guess add is sympathy for families who lost a loved one to the tragic incident, but my concern for those lost is dwindling. People die, people are born and life goes on. I know it sounds very cold, but well, I'm sure you understand, based on what you had to say.

Yep. When I can turn on the news, or look at reuters, or read a newspaper.. and see worse things happening, every day..

And then I see people going around wearing little Two Towers badges, and stickers saying 'We Remember' and '9/11'..

I end up thinking..

Who remembers everyone else?

And I smile and remember. I do.

i hit a raccoon with my truck today

i stopped and smeared it in the shape of the twin towers then made little blood drop trails like the towers were crying

i didn't think what I did was very good but you've given me hope that quality or composition will be ignored when the subject is a tragedy that exploits human emotions

Hate to sound stupid, but exactly! You don't go there. Making fun of tragic events a mere 6 years afterwards is not something you should do, no matter how good you may draw.

Also, I don't think the racoon thing is making fun of 9/11. Just the whole blood-smear thing is pretty freaking creepy.

they're using a script/scripts to output color codes that FA recognizes. You could make one of your own using the same tagging system.

Uhhhhh...

if you click reply to their post, it will show the code it uses.

Then you can make a macro or script to apply it to a string of text (necessary if you want rainbow colors, unless you actually want to take the time to type out the tags around every letter) Or just pick a solid color and be done with it

I have no idea what the hell 'macro's and 'script's are.

For me it's "We will never forgive."

I remember, I lost a friend that day *hugs* and I was there 3 days prior to the attack (I live not far from the city) and then went down 5 days after, was terrible >_< *hugs*

I remember thinking when I was watching the towers fall.
"Our government's reaction to this will be worse than the event itself."

...Seeing as how bush was president back then, it wasn't hard to predict.

Nicely done, Shalls. I was there that day. I saw the second plane hit and I saw both towers fall. I lost 97 people that day, many of them near and dear to me. If I could've got into lower Manhattan before they closed down the George Washington Bridge, maybe I would've been one of those killed.

My friends and I spent most of our free time for months helping with the clean-up, and in recovering remains. I saw/smelled/experienced things that will haunt me for the rest of my life.

Never forget 9/11. *salutes*

It is hard to imagine something like that happening where you live... but that's the world we live in now. But, we can never forget those who we lost on that day... ever.
