That's a Imperator Titan we've got in the background. =P

true the Imperator would kick tyranid butt... but I hate to tell you on Gryphonne IV, one Imperator Titan was torn to little pieces by a swarm of a couple billion gaunts that swarmed over the complete machine. digging there way inside the joints and tearing it apart form the inside. *holds up Tyranid Codex* its in here :P

But there's no billion gaunts nearby.
Thus, there's nothing to kill the Imperator. In turn, it kills everyone who's not an Imperial. =D

Gargant sounded so tyranid to me. Didn't know that them Orkz have huge mechs like that.

aye... and it tends to be sometimes the Ork version is MUCH MUCH more heavily armed. just because of Orks just slapping as much firepower as they can on something.. though the Imperator has the advantage of a void shield while the Gargants only get extra mass points to absorb incoming fire.

What's the advantage of a void shield? Does it subtract a set amount of damage from every attack? (speaking in gameterms)

well in the 40K game it gives the titen a 4+ invul save to anything coming at it. if you fail the role the shields power down one turn then reactivate in that time people can punch straight at the titan. but because an Imperator is too monsterously big, they can't really put in the rules for what it would be like trying to find one in normal 40K game. they only have scout titans.

ON the flip side, in 40K Epic if I got my rules right, its kinda like in BF gothic, the shields will absorb some of the incoming punishment whatever that points in damage tahts higher then the shields hits the Titan inside. if the combined attack power isn't higher then the strength of the shields the attack is negated.

I believe it would be more ... true if you design the Titan as the battlefield itself... as that is the more likely case. on a normal sized board for a 40K game. the one shoulder area would make up the playing field.

ya... pretty much. I had a friend do the math once on what he believed an imperator titan would be to scale in a 40K game... I think he came to the end result of 20 feet tall or more or something like that i can't remember all the details.

If me make a Marine model 5 cm big, and the average Marine 2.5 meters in "real"...
Then 1 cm ~ 50 cm, and if a Imperator Titan is 500 meter big, we get...10 meters. Wow. That's huge.

Why would grey Knights fight Orcs, Orcs have no Daemons....though that would be so cool Greater Daemons of Gork and Mork.

dunno, we talked about it and decided to make them fight orks, cuz yeah, orks fight with everybody ^^

How 'bout this "Explanation":
Them Grey Knights came to kill some Daemons and did that, but then got ambushed by Orkz and now are fighting those? ^^

That works, it's a match up I wouldn't mind seeing on the table, mostly cause I know the Grey Knights would lose horribly
