The second set of bios for Team Gemstone. Again, my team for the 
PokeCombatAcademy.
This time around it's the two male team members turn, Obisidian and Jasper.

Jasper Drake
Species: Lucario
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Type: Fighting/Steel
Ability: Inner Focus

Calm and quiet, moving with an air of confidence and a knack for not instigating unnecessary talk, it is easy to understand why many believe Jasper to be arrogant and aloof. This is far from the case though. He just has a preference for doing things by himself. He feels that it is safer for him and others this way.
He is the eldest of four children and the Lucario among his siblings. This is both something he holds with pride and sadness. He is glad to have been the first to evolve, but sad of the rift it has caused between himself and his younger siblings, especially with his youngest sister. Until he evolved, the two of them were close
He doesn’t understand why he has evolved and strives to understand his own evolution a bit better. Often times, he can be found meditating, seeking the answers he wishes to have within himself. To this end, he has received training from his father in hand-to-hand combat and meditation skills.
His father, a retired fighter himself, was more than happy to conform to his eldest child’s request. Hoping that Jasper would follow in his own footsteps and join a battle league after he graduated, he enrolled his son into the Poke-Combat Academy for Higher Learning.
Jasper was more than willing to comply with this. It was his hope that while at the PCA he could accomplish three things: Bettering himself, find out why he had evolved and his siblings hadn’t, and perhaps find information about his missing mother.
Jasper was the last to join Team Gemstone and he doesn’t exactly come across as a team player. He personally doesn’t believe that Topaz is a competent leader and that Lapis is a waste of space on the team, and that the only decent one is Obsidian, though he keeps these opinions to himself.
Although he does view Topaz in a less than favorable light, he does respect her fighting ability and the fact that she allows him to do his own thing so long as it doesn’t interfere with the rest of the team. These reasons alone are the only reason he never openly questions her leadership.
Although this is slowly changing, Jasper prefers to train by himself rather than with the rest of the team. This is because he accidentally injured his last sparring partner and the thought of their suffering because of it has never left him.
One of the reasons that Jasper was more than willing to enroll at the PCA was to find information on his mother.
His mother was lawyer specializing in military cases and was very close to her oldest son. When Jasper was ten, she disappeared while on route to a business meeting. What the meeting was about or who it was with, Jasper doesn’t know, but he feels that he can find out while studying at the PCA. After all, gossip spreads throughout schools like wildfire and the bigger the school, the more gossip and rumors one can hear.
Obsidian “Sid” Catseye
Species: Absol
Age: 14
Gender: Male

Type: Dark
Ability: Super Luck
Move Set: Swords Dance, Aerial Ace, Double Team, Detect
Sid is the most outgoing member of Team Gemstone. Not exactly a “party animal” or such thing, he tries to be friends with everyone he meets. Not exactly something that comes easy for an absol.
He is used to being shunned by others because of the reputation that absols have gotten over the years and it doesn’t bother him in the least. He knows it isn’t true and if others want their own misbegotten ideas of him, let them have ‘em, doesn’t bother him in the least.
Obsidian was raised at Her Lady of Peace Orphanage from an early age. He never knew his biological parents, as they were killed when he was an infant. A fire raged through out there home one night killing all but a single child, Obsidian.
His life at the orphanage was dull, in his mind. The other children avoided him and many of the staff refused to work with him, even his own case worker seemed to care little for the young absol. Despite all this, young Obsidian was happy. As far as he was concerned, this was the norm and he was more than willing to go with the flow.
His whole life changed on his tenth birthday though.
One of the more common things that Obsidian had become used to was seeing potential parents come to the orphanage and adopt one of his fellow orphans. Sometimes they would talk to him, but most times they would simply pass him by in favor for another child. On this day though, he met the Catseyes.
The Catseyes were immediately taken by Obsidian’s carefree and outgoing personality and decided to immediately adopt the young absol. True to his nature, Obsidian still went with the flow, easily changing from being an orphan to becoming a loved son.
Jacob Catseye works in the jewelry business, and is a partner to Donovan Topaz, owner of Topaz’ Gemstones. It was he who would enroll Obsidian into the PCA to further the young absol’s natural fighting ability and he was also the one to first call the young absol “Sid”.
Heather Catseye is a retired fighter and is Obsidian’s personal trainer.
Although she knows that she’ll never be able to pass down all her moves to her adopted son, she did make sure that he learned a few tricks of the trade.
Obsidian is without question, the glue that holds Team Gemstone together. His outgoing personality meshes well with Topaz’ arrogance and keeps the luxio from getting in over her head. He’s also the only one who can motivate Lapis into doing anything that even seems like training.
He’s the team’s secondary strategist, preferring to keep his distance in fights rather than get right into an opponent’s face. He’s quick and agile, using his speed to keep his foes off guard before he goes in for the kill.
Although he was just an infant when it happened, memories of the fire that killed his parents still haunt him. He’s gotten it more under control now, but when he was younger he had a deep fear of fire and anything dealing with fires.
He is an incurable flirt and will flirt with just about anyone. The only ones he doesn’t flirt with are his teammates, all for various reasons. He and Topaz have been friends since he was ten and it seems awkward to flirt with her (and she flirts right back so it kind of loses it fun), Lapis is never really awake plus would probably have a heart attack if any male actually flirted with her, and Jasper would simply ignore the absol’s flirts and has.
