(straight to scraps)
Not everyone understood why I spent £400 on a proper Photoshop license... It's pretty simple: to me, drawing is srs bsns.
24" widescreen, 2x17" portraits, A4 Wacom Intuos 4. PC behind it is a quad core i5 running at 4.5 GHz with 16GB memory, ATI 6870 in eyefinity triple screen, and 2x1 terabyte hard drives.
When you love your hobby, you spend the money :)
(I only really have 2 games I play on this... and I haven't touched one of them for a month...)

Lol, it probably looks more impressive than it is :) Was collected a piece at a time and only today fell together in the completed thing - and I have no clue how, or even if, I can get games to span all 3 screens in this config xD Not that I think the graphics card would handle it if I could...
I tried to like GIMP... many many times, tried really hard, like 2-3 days worth of trying.
But I just hate it. It felt slow and unintuitive and every time I was forced to look at the dozen disconnected windows now sprawled across my desktop, I realised why people pay craploads for Photoshop.
I use mostly Paint Tool SAI for the linework however, PS just doesn't understand drawing smooth lines by hand and tries to approximate them to horizontal/vertical :/ But all the vector pathing and text wrapping in the image above, that needed PS!

2x DVI, 2x Mini Display Port, 1x HDMI - though you max out at 4 monitors, and must use both MDPs to do it ^^
Runs slightly louder now, 3 monitors doesn't let it idle properly... but tis still reasonably quiet.
