This is the last placemat doodle I'll have for a while. They told me I had to stop. :(
Of course, they did that RIGHT when we had a weekend so slow I was sitting around doing nothing 70% of the time anyway. So I occupied my time in other ways, such as beautifying the stacks of sugar, trying and failing to do origami, and trying to stand two quarters on end at once and keep them that way as long as possible.
This weekend was better, though. XD
Anyway, finished this up because. SO MUCH BALLPOINT INK. It stinks something awful.
Still have this idea of Hiccup-trapped-in-Toothless' head I'm batting around. "Wings".
When he gets discovered by Astrid, she happens to have been taking a bath at the time. As a dragon, his perception of things has changed, and this is one of the major ways: everything alive is potentially food (he has all kinds of duels with Toothless' stomach, including fantasizing about eating himself).

No, they actually share the same body, which leads to a lot of conflict of course. But Hiccup learns a lot. I feel like if the dragon wasn't there to help him, he'd hardly be able to function at all. XD
Meanwhile his body is "empty". So they do have to work out something to do with his body while he's stuck in the Night Fury's head. XD Leading to some humorous shenanigans indeed.

He'd be running around trying to do dragony things, except he'd have a missing leg (and technically six other missing appendages, if you count his wings fins and tail), not be able to run or balance as easily, be getting hurt WAY easier...
It wouldn't be very cool for him. XD Though it could be funny to watch.

Well, I do hope to see more of this sort of thing. If you do go for it, I wish you ever the best of luck. I'd offer to help somehow but... don't think there's anything I really could do to contribute. You seem to have the idea pretty well in hand and when it comes to visual art, I am but a spider monkey with a basket of fruit.

What, Astrid getting eaten? You're right, she wouldn't be eaten in this scene while NAKED. Are you effing crazy? Hiccup's mind checks a lot of that kind shenanigans. XDXDXD
She'd get eaten a couple chapters later, mostly because she'd die otherwise. XD
This whole scene would be pretty risque for me, but yeah, everything would be cleverly hidden all the time. XDXDXD

I think Toothless can move the body, though he's generally focused on making sure they are walking and sensing things properly-- he's more in the "dragon" side of the brain. They're so complicated, and Hiccup doesn't know much about interpreting all the messages from the Fury's sensory organs, or walking four-legged, or how to hold wings and tail.
So for that reason, Toothless generally takes "backseat" or at least the illusion of it. He can seize control if he needs to, provided he takes Hiccup off guard, but for the most part they kind of just work in harmony, Hiccup's psyche sort of enveloped in Toothless'. Kind of like they fly in tangent, they live in tangent.
