I'm sure you are wondering why I am posting a picture of food on a history site. The answer should be obvious--it's historical food! Well, a historical recipe. This, in fact, is a sampling of the fare from the Titanic's First Class dining saloon. I say "sampling" because there is no way we could eat an eleven course meal, even if we did halve the recipes as the book advised. Not to mention that my dad wouldn't eat most of it, anyway. XD
The chicken was quite tasty, though not as... well, special as I was expecting, but that may be due in part that my mom made the chicken, and she tends not to follow recipes, instead preferring to "do her own thing." The potatoes were supposed to be cut into "eight sided gem shapes," and I finally figured out how to cut them properly on the last potato. XD The potatoes seemed a little plain to me, but since I prepared cooked them, it was probably some fault of mine, as I am no cook. However, we put some melted cheese and bacon bits on them, and it was quite yummy.
We plan on making other dishes from Second and Third class, so we'll see how they go. :3
