Well, I know I haven't been uploading much to FA of late, I am actually working on inking pictures and attempting color on some. However, during a conversation with 
yurikokinai about character designs, the sharktopus was mentioned. Then... while trying to work on another pic, and my brain clicked on an idea and I had to draw him out.
So yeah, sharktopus. SyFy movie monster or what not.
I wanted to see what I could do to make one somewhat approachable looking. Have to say I was happy with the design, and well, color will be following shortly.
drawn in pen, inked in SAI. Hope you like. He looks like he could use a hug or something...

Netsuko did it before that silly SciFi channel movie did.
Oh, and it's funny that you finally break out the inks for an octopus. I mean.. what with their own inky defensive ways.
Regardless, goodness I love this! I love octo-taurs or mer-octos or anything with the eight-legged lower half like that.. and the way you did the pants splitting up the seams is amazing, I've never seen that done that way. Fantastic! :}===<3

Thanks very much, inking is something i have liked doing, but the delay in me posting more is getting used to the interface on the slate I am using now. This pic i think is a good indicator that I can start uploading other ones too.

as for the pants... I thought it would be interesting to try to do rips along the seams for this, thought it would work better for the pose, since octopus have a really good knack of escaping from things, or getting into things. Just seemed to fit better that it wasn't like frontal or rear rips from the fabric itself.
