'Bout darn time I got my tail back to this! On with the listing....
#588 Karrablast - An okay Bug-type from fifth gen I have not gotten to use yet. I think it is kinda cute (me and my bugs), but it evolves into Escavalier which is pretty cool. It is putting on a leaf like Swadloon has because it wants to be a Grass-type. XD
#541 Swadloon - A Bug/Grass, hence the joke. And it really looks like that. Its expression was awesome for this bit. Anyway, I have not gotten to use it yet. Leavanny is supposed to be decent, but I am taking my time because Bug/Grass is really pretty weak typing.
#513 Pansear - Yeah, Pansear. Meh. I am still not very good at drawing primates.
#636 Larvesta - I love Larvesta's design! It is kinda cute, kinda cool, and evolves into a total badass of a Pokémon (Volcarona). I think this sketch turned out pretty well, too, though the adjustments to the colors hid its eyes.
#619 Mienfoo - Tried to do it with a ninja run sort of thing, but I am not very good at that, apparently. Otherwise, Mienfoo is okay. I am not hugely fond of its design, but Mienshao more than makes up for it.
#618 Stunfisk - Behold, the great... SUPERDERP! Even Huntail is not as derpy as Stunfisk. But when I tried using it, I was surprised by how useful it is. Plus, flounders in general are cool, so I am okay with it. (Note that technically, the exposed side is its left side, not its top. Yeah, flounders are weird like that; they have their eyes and mouth on the same side of their head so they can hide super well.)
#367 Huntail - Also very derpy--probably the most before Stunfisk came around--Huntail is actually something that I like. Not very useful and a pain to get (before Black/White anyway), but I thought its design was simple yet cool. I think I did okay at making it look slightly less stupid.
#368 Gorebyss - It is a fish... with a bra. WTF? But Gorebyss is better than Huntail, actually worth the trouble of getting it. I am just slightly less fond of its design.
#191 Sunkern - Cute, but Sunkern has one of the lowest base stat totals in the game (if not the lowest) so it is difficult to use when it does not have a type advantage and good moves. Yes, it evolves into Sunflora, and no, I do not really care to use that, either.
#533 Gurdurr - I thought Gurdurr was stupid and creepy until I drew this. It just stuck its girder in the ground and leaned against it. Kinda cool. If I had a Gurdurr, I would love it to death if it actually acted like this. XP
#508 Stoutland - I will be honest, I am not totally sold on Stoutland's design. But I had one in my first play through Black and it was a beast, so I can respect it, at least. (I could probably do better on it, too.)
#085 Dodrio - Oh, such amusement with Dodrio. The side heads are clearly bothered by the constant crowing of the middle one. Not that they can do much about it. Often one of my staple Flying Pokémon because it has all the qualities I demand from one: it can learn Fly, has decent stats for its typing and movepool, and is easy enough to get that I can work for a good nature and not completely lose my head in the meantime.
Wow, it has been a while since I did that. Now if I can get my head back in the game on this challenge, I will have more soon....
