I know, I know, not all warriors and soldiers are muscular, but still!
Her pose, build and expression makes her look like a real warrior.

Haha, your enthusiasm is not lost on me and is much appreciated. I am SO tired of female 'warriors, fighters and superheroes' that are no bigger than my 124 lb. self. Aegea here serves as general later in her life, and I'm rather proud of her as a character. She is, actually, a human, just telekenetic. However, she ends up being possessed by a god. Heh...pictures to follow. And yes, the horse is a horse. Rather like a large Percheron, no?

Indeed it is. Anime is even worse on the oversized weapon department. Cloud's buster sword irritate me no end.
I know some people who train martial arts and a couple of ARMA practitioners, so I know girls can be both small and have a slim build and still be quite dangerous.
(Being kicked in the head when sparring with a girl a foot shorter then you is an eye-opener if nothing else. ;))
However, they use weapons appropriate to their size, and even people with a naturally slim build will develop some muscle (just not as bulky as someone with a broader build) if training with a sword, mace or polearm regularly for years.
