Well- this one was a bit different, sort of kind of :P
Basically its -
1 pork butt, bone in
1 small onion and a few small cloves garlic, chopped
My ras-al-hanout rubbed on the butt... *coughs* ...recipe you can find here-
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6029561/
The leftover bbq sauce that I had from the baked chicken...here...
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7780966/
My trusty crock pot-
AND- basically, saute' the garlic and onions a bit first- then shove your butt *coughs* into the pot...
Cover your butt *coughs more* with that sauce, then cover the crock pot, and cook on high for 4 to 5 hours...thats it ! Then pull out and let rest a bit and serve :3
I am going to submit this as is, however, and Im not quite sure I should give this to FACCC...only because its really recycling recipes...THAT, and...Im not sure this is such a great dish either- the fat rendered right down into the pot, making the sauce way too oily/greasy.
I probably should have done this as more of an 'oven' dish rather than a crock pot...but, I'm open for ideas!
*sighs* Well, I'll give it a try later on, see if its "fail" or not at any rate :B
Update- With a bit more research, my hunch was right: this SHOULD have been more of an oven dish...as in, roasting/braising it.
Next time I do this for my crock pot, however.... I'll do it with more time, the bone taken out and the fat trimmed, thats the only thing I can think of :3
...And take out the onions for
:P
Second update (tasting): - actually not that bad; just needs to be drained a bit more...and yeah, next time I'll ask my butcher guy to debone / trim fat for me :3
Has still a bit of a kick from the sauce plus the rub as well :)
