A new drawing of pooka, after I made the first neutral full body just for reference purposes now I can have a little more fun with her showing more character.
The way I decided to digitize my sketch is way different than I usually do, though all of my drawings submitted to FA previously were drawn 100% digitally so this is the first traditionally drawn piece here. After drawing and inking the lines normally I scanned them in, but rather than cleaning it up I wanted to use my overly-sensitive scanners textures in the drawing to "hopefully" make something a little more interesting. And I do like to be able to use the natural textures for the piece rather than throwing on a stock texture overlay or anything like that :)
This is so so different than how I usually digitally color my traditional drawings, I don't like my digital painting technique (or lack thereof) so I'm very interested in criticism on this so I can weigh whether to pursue it or not. What do you think of this piece as a standalone? In comparison for my purely digital techniques does this look like something I should pursue? This was the most recent traditional to digital piece I colored http://crimson-flygon.deviantart.co.....lery/#/d466cob, so comparing this sort of coloring style that one, which do you prefer and why?
As far as character goes I'm liking keeping her hands 3 fingered as shown. Of course she's a shapeshifter so it's not a huge deal XD
