What's this doing here?
A former Metra-Burlington Northern bilevel cab-car coach sits in the Great Lakes Central's yard at Owosso, Michigan. At the time I made this shot, the GLC was holding on to these cars in anticipation of using them in commuter rail service from Ann Arbor to Howell, Michigan. Since then, proposed service has been denied key funding and is languishing. Nonetheless, these cars have been given a full overhaul by GLC's shops, and may still someday see service to Ann Arbor.

Some of these have just started rolling again over here on our touristic train... We made two trains with one and each consist will have one of these, 3 Pullman Standard coaches, one dual Caterpillar HEP and a RS-18 locomotive. Over that we will operate 2 German shuttles on the same single track, it's going to be a busy summer!
