And while we are on Submissions with a story ... here's another one that has a little bit of a backstory.
When I was about to release Evolutions I went to several friends and decided to take a vote for Ears and Tail since both Bob Seager and Metallica did the song Bob wrote. I have never really LIKED cover songs but I liked what Metallica did with it but ... leave it up to a sort of 'jury' of friends to make the deciding vote. Bob Seager won and I recorded the original track.
Well when I went to Anthrocon to SELL the thing ... I got BOMBARDED by people asking me why oh why didn't I do the other version.
*facepalm* So by the end of the con I found myself swearing that the song would be done for Phases. Some of the people I had requesting it even tracked down my Email address and reminded me to do it!!!
The people hath spoken. And thus Ears and Tail appears on both Evolution AND Phases as the two seperate versions.

...I'm going to have this song stuck in my head for a week now. Oh you probably don't care but I think the Metallica version is better music wise and more catchy but the Bob Seager version seems more somber and like someone speaking more from experience. Honestly I love both versions.
