Location: Sheer-Cliff mountian of the Palm Tree Panic Zone, The Little Planet
--Orbiting the Planet Mobius
Sub Location: Sheer Cliff Heights (Site of Prowler Gang Headquarters)
Season: Summer
Temp: 92 Celsius*
*A temperature scale in which 0° represents the freezing point and 100° the boiling point.*

I'm so glad because now that i'm free of homework and chronic illnesses, I finally had the time to finish this.
After sitting around for months as a piece of junk, I figured it was time I finished it, and I have to say I couldn't be more proud of myself =D
EDIT (Dec, 2011) : Cleaned it up around the edges so I could significanly increase it's size.

Backstory: Sheer-Cliff Mountain resides on the surface world of The Little Planet (Sonic CD), a moon-like world that floats above Mobius.
The very same planet Robotnik had once chained to a rocky mountain in the Mobian Badlands in a plot to use gems only found on The Little Planet called Time Stones to manupiulate the moon's enviorment and expand his empire there. Once it was liberated by none other then Sonic the Hedgehog, it reverted back to it's lush, green self, and was free to orbit Mobius once again.
Because Robotnik paid little attention to it after that, the planet remained mostly free, making it the perfect place for those who wished to avoid the First Robotnik War fled, <b>if</b> they could reach it that is.
When Mace was small, and out on his own after his banishment from the Wolf Pack, he meets his future partner and friend, Amelia the Hedgehog. In a daring and almost suicidal attempt to escape from the Sky Pirates that captured them, Mace had highjacked a jetpack from the armory of his captor's ship, during an intense sky-battle between the Sky Pirate fleets and the Battle Bird Armada. Managing to escape, they end up crash-landing on the Little Planet in an tropical area the locals called, Sheer-Cliff mountian. More specifically they landed near the peak, in a some-what flat area, known as Sheer-Cliff Heights.
Sheer-Cliff Mountain was an island-like peninsula just off the main-land, connected to it by a long and slender land-bridge. It's a place where no local dared to travel, especially The Heights, for there were rumors of a ferocious dragon living in the area, as well as unexplained disappearances...
Wandering near the peak of the mountain in search of shelter from the rain, and a place to stay in order to survive, Mace and Amelia find a dark cave with a massive opening. Inside, they see gold coins, silks, silver lamps and other valuable objects strewn about along the cave wall, and something of a brilliant red, shimmering at the back of the cave.
After getting suspicious of it and a bad feeling about the place, Amelia tell Mace that the cave was probably the home of pirates or theives. However Mace assures her that she would be fine so long as she stuck with him, and there was nothing to worry about. But he wasn't so sure himself. A little bit later she agree to taking a look. Once they get to the back of the cave, they stared in awe at a massive pile of treasures before them, wondering where they all came from.
Covering her own mouth as she yelped in fright, Amelia jumped back knocking over Mace, forward in shock at an enormous scarlet-red creature at the top of the coin pile, moving so little, and breathing so peacefully that they didn't notice it snoozing in the dark.
Realizing the danger they could be in if it woke, Mace and Amelia scrambled to catch falling treasure, rolling off the pile, in vain hope of stopping a piece of treasure from creating an echoing clang on the floor of the cave.
After few minutes of quiet panic and blundering about to catch falling metal, they breathed a heavy sigh of relief, thinking it was over.
What they didn't realize was the single gold coin the had escaped from the pile, making a reverberating 'ping' as it landed in the bottom of a silver cup.
Freezing in horror, the two watched one of the creature's eyelids snapped open. Revealing an bright, golden-yellow pupil, staring down them both...
