In Memoriam, but with a twist
As you see here, this is a scale model (don't know if it's accurate or not, but seems to be) of the RMS Titanic, which sank 100 years ago. But if you look closely, you see that this is not woodwork, or paint, no, what you see here is a 3D model, given colour using nothing more than the flowers of the Hyacinth. This is something done every year in my town, called hyacinth mozaics weekend. Loads of different types of mozaics are made each time, often having to do with recent events or news, or anniversaries of events.
It's not just for fun though, there's a competition for it, where you have 3 categories: Tossed (where the flowers are laid loose in a frame to make the picture), pinned (the flowers are pinned down with little pins, creating a special effect), and 3D (usually pins are used too, but in a different way). I'm pretty sure that this one won first prize in the 3D category.
