"It's what non-car people don't get.
They see all cars as just a ton and a half, 2 tons of wires, glass, metal, and rubber.
That's all they see.
People like you or I know we have an unshakable belief that cars are living entities.
Not a Toyota Corolla, obviously... but a real... you can develop a relationship with the car.
And that's what non-car people just don't get."
Rest in peace you beautiful soul.
May you drive the clouds now with your fallen kin.

I lost a car last summer.
I wished I went with her.
Sobbed endlessly for what seemed like forever.
She was my everything.
And she was gone in seconds.
I know your pain man.
Just be glad she went gracefully.
I didn't get to be so lucky.
Rest in peace Lilark

It's always hard.
If you feel something
it's like losing a loved one
Cause you spend the most time with your car..
(or I do/did)
So it's almost like losing a piece of yourself.
So.
I advise watching Love The Beast.
It's a movie all about loss of a car
and the philosophy behind love for a car.

The engine went about 3 months after I bought it, So i bought a brand new 5.0 and did some tweaks for HP gain. So... lol it chewed up my tranny. So i dug out 2 grand and had one made, that worked great until my U-joint went and snapped my drive shaft denting my new gas tank and taking half my transmission with it all over the highway. So I figured I'd just get a used tranny. But the engine chewed that one up too. So I spent another 2500 on a custom built High performance transmission. And then my crank shaft broke. needless to say, 1 engine is enough and I put in over 11,000$ into it over the years. But I did get to make a few road trips with it, TONS of adventures, and a con. The van could smoke its tires anytime I wanted and once during one of those mis-adventures, I got the whole van air-bourne XD
I've got a funny doodle of it here But no real pictures up yet. I have a few, I really should get them up
What was the stock engine for that van? I thought people usually check how much torque a transmission and drivetrain could handle when doing power upgrades.
Doing a bit of research, I think the 4R75E transmission in my 2006 Ford F-150 XLT Extended Cab w/the 5.4L V8 3V has a torque rating of 750ftlbs (basically a multiplication of 2:1) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_AOD_transmission

man, that is at least a quick and almost painless way to go, just take solice in knowing shae has no mre worries of being trashed by some stupid kid texting while driving daddy's Toyota to his hot date with the cheerleader who's gonna dump em. I know your pain in losing a cherished member of my life, Chrystine, she was a silver 1996 Mercury Cougar Elite, and she acted a ton like the name said, she had a tendancy to repair herself, and was all too loyal to me, wouldn't run for nobody but me, lost her while driving truck over the road, and I will be damned if it happens to my Beast, I'll kill for her.
You have my condolences although they are late. On my page is my late 2000 Sable in French Blue. It's transmission was going too but luckily I was prepared to get a new car and got the 2010 Fusion Hybrid (28-40mpg with two records of 98.7: 1.5 miles on battery alone on a near flat road and one all down hill onto a flat road). I have a picture of her there too but I never put up the side by side I have. Thanks for faving the 2013 Fusion pic. No plans to get one but a local dealership wants to buy my 2010 bad so one never knows (either the hybrid (47/45 city/hwy) or the plugin (estimated better than the Volt) if I can wait until next spring).
