Visor is a Dathi - a race of canines which have adopted plant like features during their evolution. In the Supernova series, Dathi are nearly extinct, having their home world damaged and lost during the 1000 year war. Visor is one of the last of a type of Dathi that feel the presence of their home world Deacon, which was lost in space, they use this 'feeling' as a navigational aid.
