After seeing the drawing that Drake Fenwick posted of his furry Green Lantern, I had remembered that my Marilyn Cheezick was a GL on her world. So, I thought of doing a drawing of her in her GL uniform and ready for action.

Sorry, but the original phrase was the one use by the Golden Age Green Lantern, Alan Scott. He used: ..And I Shall Shed My Light Upon Dark Evil. For The Dark Things Cannot Stand The Light...The Light of the Green Lantern! In fact, for some that don't know, at some point around 1943-1944, he actually uttered the phrase that would be used by the Silver and Modern Age Green Lanterns. As for folks being thin skin, PC strikes again, eh?
I guess I should have been more clear that I meant the original text for the Hal Jordan Green Lantern, since we were referencing the GL corps which Alan Scott wasn't part of. Yes PC strikes all over the place, in the most childish of places and ways. A reporter was doing an article on police wearing black arm-bands in rememberance of fallen colleagues and the spell-checker replaced 'black' with 'african-american' throughout the entire article. Apparently some idiot couldn't comprehend that black is a color not a racial term and set the software up to sanitize any documents arbitrarily.
Indeed, Leno had shown the article on his Monday night 'Headlines' feature, which shows off headlines and other things that are examples of some serious stupidity and that was one of them. It's in the same category though with changing 'blackest' to 'darkest', as if something was inherently racist with the word 'black'. I wish I could tell these people 'Hey it's just a color people, grow up!'. Screws up a lot of stuff where it doesn't belong.
Marilyn? Smirk, alternate universe sort of thing. But, ultimately, its this: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/171612/
