Yesterday I took my very first every partial fursuit out for a spin at the Elf Fantasy Fair in the Netherlands.
It was scary, new and definitely something I can learn from. For example, the eyes kept fogging up so I need to figure out a new way to keep them from doing that.
I also need to make a bigger tail (which doesn't show here but it was way too small and didn't want to sit nicely) and feet for this particular partial. I plan to eventually make this into a full suit along with a Zikaur full fursuit I'm planning on building for Scotiacon this year.
I had so much fun as well as frustration building the head! I still need to figure out a better way to get the markings on neater while using the duct-tape method and
furryfursuitmaker let me know that the balaclava method for building heads would be a better method than the full foam one I used. I'll have to experiment more before I find something that works best for me personally.
Even with the faults, I think that -for a first ever fursuit head- this came out surprisingly well!

I know ^^ I saw you and ran up to you, Pyre and Gwyn, gave Gwyn a hug and let you guys go on your way as you were all just having fun in your suits and entertaining, no time to really get acquinted. You three have awesome suits btw and it was great to see the characters I've drawn in real life, hope you get a chance to chat sometime later.
wow I didn´t see you there :O But nice suit! :D Oh and if you don't want the eyes to fog, make a tiny gab in plastic on the inner corner of the eyes. That way you have better ventilation and your breath won't fog up the eyes :D I've used that methode alot and it really helps ^^ Hope to see you somewhere again fellow Bat :D (ahum...hihi my own bat suit isn't finished yet ^^" But will probably take her to either Arcen 2014 or Haarzuilens 2015 :D Hope to see you around somewhere!)
Thank you! It was my first ever suit and was so scared of wearing that I only wore it for about 10 minutes and then just decided to enjoy the fair instead.
Thanks a bunch for the tip as well! I´ll definitely give it a try and see if it works. I´ll also need to redo this critter and fix it here and there to make it look nicer.
Definitely hope to catch you someday at EFF 2015, I´ll make sure to wear this little batty there then so you can recognize me. Just curious though, are you by any chance Dutch?
