Hi Mohegan,
Is your dog a German Shorthair Pointer? I was perusing FA and ran into your photo, which reminded me of a photo taken of my pointer. The link below will take you to a scanned photo (taken in 1986) of Koko with earphones on her head. Looks like we had the same idea.

Thanks for sharing. Shorthairs are wonderful dogs.

Wow, that's so amazing, she looks almost just like him! Haha, that's fantastic x) Borys is actually a chocolate labrador/bull mastiff mix. I LOVE German shorthair Pointers though, they're a strong competitor in my choice for my next dog. Absolutely awesome breed <3
Thank you so much for sharing that photo! :)

Hi Mohegan,
OH my! @ choco lab/mastiff mix. I guess I would have to see Borys' body-shape for curiosity sake. I too agree it is a good look-alike match. Koko and her pups weighed in the range of 50-70 pounds, with long, slender legs, and (obviously) short hair. Yes, even short hair sheds abundantly. Pointers are intended to be bird dogs, but Koko was pretty much a fish dog, and caught her share of fish.
I grew up with dogs until I moved out of the house. With me living in apartments since grad school, cats have been my pet of choice. Now, I have Toby and Sherbert being wonderful companions.
I am glad to share the scanned photo of Koko. It has been a while since I have seen the photo.
Thank you for your response.

Hey again!
If you're curious, here's a good picture of his whole body - http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hpho....._5029917_n.jpg
Lean little thing he is. Though he is a solid 80 lbs :) That's pretty spectacular that she was catching fish! Borys, unfortunately, doesn't do any hunting with us. As a puppy he wasn't very well socialized (this was before I came into the picture), and thus he is a very skittish dog by nature. Strange people, noises, objects tend to freak him out.
I've never been a cat person, really, but last month I brought home a 8 week old Siamese kitten. He's a little snot, but has a lot of love in him...when he wants to give it haha.

Hi Mohegan,
Thanks for the photo link.
I can see choco lab/mastiff shape in the body and in the face. Our dogs would have longer legs, a smaller muzzle, and docked tails. I guess the docked tails are used to speed up the wagging. I can sympathize with the skittish dogs, since we had two of them; one long time ago and the other was Koko's grand-daughter. It takes some time to get accustomed to the 'strange' noises 'n stuff.
Neat at the cat story. Cats "think" they are in charge. I hope the Siamese cat will continue to bring you joy.
