I took a snap yesterday of part of our apartment deck garden. The rest of it is out of the picture growing on the ledge. Our vegetables and herbs are growing up well! I had just finished planting the containers there and our doggy Didy is waiting ever so patiently for the noms to grow!
We just got our first salad harvest last night. Enough for a full week for the hubby and I! So delicious. <3
P.S. Yes, unfortunately our deck really does look that bad. It's been in need of repair for a very long time. *shrugs* Not my problem.

Yup! You've got a good eye. :)
Then again, most of these plants are from your region of the world. XD
Big planter: Hidcote lavender (especially good for culinary purposes baking into confectionaries, teas, lemonade, and on chicken)
Puget Summer strawberries
The two small black pots sitting in it are holding seedlings that will eventually be transplanted. Mesclune (small mixed salad green plants) and Spacemaster cucumbers (great for growing in patios because it's small)
Left planter: Oregon Spring tomatoes (a dwarf variety that you can grow in planters)
French Tarragon
Dwarf Oregano
Middle Planter: Pineapple sage, ARP rosemary (perfect for my region since it's cold and wet most of the time where I live), lovage
Right Planter: Patio Tomatoes (another dwarf variety good for planting in containers)
French tarragon
Empty space: Later in the summer when it gets warmer, my basil that's growing on my windowsill will grow there. :D

That's only part of it. Sitting up on the ledge the ridge of the deck is the rest of the pots holding many more herbs. I'm an herb junkie. :)
The white bin in the bottom right corner is where we're growing our broccoli from seed.
Our area is very temperate, but also very wet. There is a lot of rain here and darkness from being far to the northwest of the United States. I had to be really careful on the varieties I picked that have been specifically grown around here. The Oregon Spring tomatoes are supposed to be able to handle the dark and the wet and cooler temperatures here. We'll see if that's true or not.
