
Shot while coming back from snowboarding at Mammoth this weekend, I stopped at Lone Pine to catch some shots. There was a gorgeous sunset as a storm was moving through the area.

i wanna hike up Mt. Whitney sometime in the near future!... i wanna wait till i have a fursuit too and hike up there and put it on and take pictures standing way up on the top on the cliff edge! xD

Yeah, fair enough. I think you, as the photographer, are always going to be the most critical of your photos, though. Noise - I honestly think in B&W photos it's not a huge issue. It certainly doesn't detract from this photo. Everything still looks nice and crisp to me! Obviously the trees aren't razor sharp, but it again doesn't detract hugely. They're going to be near impossible anyway.
In regards to the noise though - what's it as a result of? ISO isn't high enough, shutter speed isn't long enough.. artifacts in conversion/compression?
Regardless of your (still valid) dislikes, it's a great photo.
