Friendship is Magic. Yeah yeah.. its either love, hate, or total apathy. but anyway..Lyra is a pony who has been subjected to fan cannon which states she actually wants to be human. Also part of her fannonization is the desire for hands. Which she has not..

Reminds me of the drawing practice i had to do as part of my Design course - our lecturer for the drawing section had us draw our own hands for the first few minutes each lesson, drawing the left hand with the right and vice versa - to get us used to drawing complex natural objects from sight, and also practice ambidexterity.
