When I was a kid Aunt Celia encouraged me to draw, teaching me about perspective & such, & praising my work.
After she passed away my mom showed me various papers that had belonged to her, including a few pieces of her own art, some of which was drawn on lined 3-hole loose leaf pages.
Among her effects was the above ID card. She lived in Florida for a good part of her adult life. As it turned out she worked in what I guess were less than reputable establishments, since her employment required her to register with... the police department!
Obviously she was less than overjoyed at the requirement. I just love her expression in the picture: my gentle, supportive, creative aunt could've passed for a gangster's gun moll (& who knows who she hung out with back in those days in those dives?)
I miss you Ceil.
