Took some time out for myself as I haven't really drawn myself a proper picture in months. This took about 3 hours in-between work.
There's a lot I'd love to change/refine but I told myself 3 hours max so I'm sticking with this. xD It was 95% painted on one layer, and I stupidly painted it on white canvas instead of transparency so the shadow on the floor was a pain to add in at the end. ._.
Anyways, I'm in a biiiig Mario mood, so expect lots of koopa/koopaling/Bowser art after my deadline!~ c:

Yeah, Bowser, Kamek, Bowser Jr... I can tell them guys are gonna be invading your gallery pretty soon after your deadline. You need to do some sexy Peach stuff at some point, normal Peach... not Kamek when he's cross-dressing as Peach. (Such a great part of the game, we need to replay it X3)

3 hours!!! i need to learn to be patient so i can make cool stuff like this, instead of just shitting my art everywhere as fast as i can this is maaaaaaarvelous, i love how his shell even looks a little worn! and all on one layer!!! i've been gradually moving away from the "single layer" school of thought, but i still love it!!! i just feel like it's very frustrating when working with certain kinds of characters.... but hey!!! in the real world, canvasses only have one layer

Thanks a lot! ^^ When I'm doing my usual style I stay far away from single-layer as possible. xD I can rack up about 100+ layers sometimes. But because I was originally taught as a fine artist, when I'm doing digital painting like this I find it much more comfortable just to do everything on one layer, like if I were painting on a canvas.

I always found the Koopa's to be cute, always shame they were enemies... Probably why I enjoy the sorta spin off games with them as allies like Paper Mario, haha... Anyway sorry, I digress! I think you did a fantastic job, the pose is adorable, an the colors are fantastic! Looks like his shell is almost to small for him, which honestly makes it a bit cuter haha, great job!
