perhaps. Numbers do have such an advantage. But is it worth losing a sister over, if the evil male I should be protecting you from can take at least one down with him?
And if everyone is fighting up front. Who is watching the cubs? What if there are numerous injuries, then the lionesses are too injured to hunt. Where as if I were to be injured protecting everyone. I would have time to recover for the next fight.
Throwing waves of soldiers at a problem, cutting your loses with no remorse for the fallen is far more barbaric than sharing food with your king, guardian, and babydaddy who actually stayed around to help watch over the young'ns. (which most big cats don't do)
you should feel special that we care so much about you. And guilty for taking us males for granted. Guilty enough to go get me some dinner now.
