I know what you mean. It does look pretty cool though. I'm glad you didn't do what I did - I had a commission about 95% done... spoke to the commissioner and told him I was scrapping it and starting over. I was not happy with it *shakes head* o.o

I put so many hours into this and it's the most boreing pose/composition. he coulda been doing somethign cool like jumping or running, but nopeeee i wasted my time on doing something derp

Oh I think you really nailed the pose, though. It strikes me as anything but boring. The base itself is a bit overused, but the way you executed it makes it look pretty unique. For instance, the way you offset the weight line, the way you turned his head a little... In my opinion this turned out really interesting 'cause those little positional details make it look like a scene rather than just a regular picture - at least it's the impression I keep having when looking at it, that it's a scene. I think if you had done the cliche black 'widescreen' lines on top and bottom and sketched out a blurry background it would've looked really awesome ^^

Well the shine/shading is a plus but I think i more like the shape of it lol. How one toe is slightly farther away.

It's part of what Iwas talking about - how Neex got a pretty basic pose but executed it in a way that makes it come to life. Like.. it looks lively because of the little details.
