And cleaning vinyl really works - that way I have restored lots of very old records - they sound like new now...

*g* Of course not with a hard brush, but hand-warm water, a soft sponge and simple dish-cleaner do fine.

Well as long as he don't throw them to the ground he should be safe. I'd be more scared of leaving claw marks on them...

They used to made a small soft fabric tool for vinyl records called "DiscWasher" (shows age)... I used to use it all the time.

I remember just whiping them with a soft cloth found aorudn the household... either with one's shirt... worked just as well.
