Maybe one Day - Doodle 2
Decided to throw some colour on it.
Just a quick doodle.
As corny as it is, I've always loved the idea of matching items with a partner. Personally, I don't think of collars as a bondage thing or Master/Pet only, it means more to me. Plus I also think of it as more of a fashion accessory. Because of that, I've always wanted to exchange collars. But, I also really love the idea of matching but opposites. One having a black collar, white on the inside and one having a white collar with black on the inside. Something simple that can match with anything, no words so it doesn't stick out too much.
I'd probably wear it around my wrist more often then not because while I find nothing wrong with collars, there's a time and place for everything and I'm not looking to be in someone's face about it.
Course, doesn't need to be collars either. Any matching bracelets or necklaces would be amazing. But unfortunately, I didn't really get to have that during my last relationship and who knows about the next, so I'm feeling a little down about it right now but I'll perk right back up soon, I'm gonna sit and watch cartoons~

Don't feel bad about it. You'll have a wonderful relationship someday when you can do something like this if they understand how important it is to you/that you want to.
Or you could even do it with a best friend C: Like how people used to exchange friendship bracelets in elementary school -- my friends did that years ago, and even though we've gone our separate ways, we all wear identical crystal necklaces.

I've done lots of matching things with friends and while that is important to me as well, it's not the same at all to me, the feeling is just too different. I was very sad not to be able to have such things in my last relationship and my friends didn't really make that feeling go away unfortunately.
Thats a rather adorable Idea. when I was in highschool I used to wear a dog collar around, I found it rather comfortable once you get used to it mind you. Wasn't for any bondage type thing either, I worse it along with my first dogs tags on them. She was my best friend. ^^ Now though my boyfriend has those tags on a necklace that he wears, I have his old football tag on a necklace I wear.

Well we plan on getting a special yin yang sort of tattoo. But on each of us the yin and yang sides will be flipped.
But this person is more of a friend, she is my first soul mate. (I believe in more than one) so the bond isn't so superficial like most casual friendships. It means a whole lot.

Pff, it's not corny. I've always loved that idea as well, and my ex-fiancee and I had matching collars at one point. Hell, the first time we met in person, we coordinated our outfits so we both had identical shirts and jeans on. It was cute, and I still smile years and relationships later, thinking of running down the stairs at the hotel to give her a big hug in our matching outfits ^^
That really nice I wish I could do the same but I'm bad at things like this. I remeber I had friends in primary school but they all moved on and betray me. After that I never made friends ever again. NOw stuck alone here after I finish college waiting to go to universty next year. If only I cant tell him or get him a gift it would be awesome. But I just feel that people will someday take it for granted.

I like that idea, a lot. Matching, but unique at the same time. You're one, your mate, the other. It's a great concept. And I for one like the idea of the collars being meaningful, not at all master/pet/slave (though I might play with a leash, I guess), but as an opposition to rings; because that's basically what the rings are. :3

Me and my boyfriend have collars with matching tags. I think its one of the best things to do. I feel proud wearing mine odd thing is we feel naked if we go outside without them. To us its a promise that we belong to eachother and stay loyal. Plus we have always worn collars. When I was single I didnt wear a tag on it. Im naturally submissive anyway and my boyfriend is more dominant but we are still in a relationship and belong to eachother. When he gets better at leather making, he wants to make matching collars with our fav colours on.

exchanging somehing with another sounds really romantic, and i totally agree with you. it means that you two share a personal bond, and whatever it may be so lng as it's matching/opposites shows how much they want to share their lives with each other.
