I've had the hardest time coming up with a basic outfit for Blue ever since Teske freed her. She had an outfit she was required to wear for him, and now that she's not, I realy wanted to do something for her.

I wanted something elegant, but sexy and showing a lot of skin. After all, it seems to be the norm for her to look less than half-dressed. I also wanted long and flowy material, because I love that.

Finally, I came up with this outfit idea. The sleeves and the skirt were my starting point. I had a shirt with sleeves like that, and I love how it's joined at the shoulder and the elbow, but free between it to drape gracefully. I also liked off the shoulder, and just below her breasts, to bare some skin. The slit in the middle was a sort of after thought, but it helped draw the outfit together.

The skirt is slitted over each hip, to show her long legs, but there is enough material that when she stands straight, the skirt looks whole. You only see her legs when she moves or sits. Essentially, the outfit is thin silk, held up by thicker bands around her shoulders, torso, hips and elbows. The rest just drapes and falls from that.

Then came jewelry... the earing placement/design is one I've toyed with before, the collar a token to remember her slave days by. The gold cuff is out of place in this outfit, but it was a gift from a very close friend, so she wears it. Lacking her normal leather cuffs at wrists and ankles, since she's no longer a slave, I had to come up with something to fill in the empty space. Ended up trying out bracelets made of wrapped wire. Like, if you'd taken a length of wire and just coiled it up, and that's the bracelet.

Part of the doll, since they're the norm for her, is silver bands around the tips of her horns, the base of her wing claws, and a leather band around her tail that holds the same charm that's on her braid and her collar. Its a symbol of her family, and all that's left from the days when she was a princess and heir to the throne. She ended up leaving to travel instead, which is when she met Teske.
