This truck could have the 6.0, The 6 isn't as bad as ppl make it out to be. I have 180,000k on mine with no problems. Of course i bypassed the EGR. :D

The badge on the door would have the chrome badge which would indicate the 6.0 I believe. The 6.0 isn't bad at all once you fix the common problems. I love the sound of a straight piped 6.0.

My chrome door badge just says "POWER STROKE V8" in red with "TURBO DIESEL" Below in black.
Most of the problems come the crappy EGR cooler. And the fact that they weren't designed to be a grocery getter, driven for short distances. It's better for them to be driven for longer periods, to be able to get up to operating temperature and burn off all the carbon in the egr system.

Yup. They would plug up and boil the coolant or crack.

I have had 2 6.0L's. An 04 and my current 06. My 04 I replaced the EGR valve 3 times before 100K. All was under warranty so no money out of my pocket. I traded it for my 06. Not a single issue with the 06 at all. I will be doing some mods as soon as get my funds saved back up.

Mine has 224000 miles and still going strong
