Note - i wanted to get commissions/etc art up first, but i'm struggling with scans, clean-up software...so some easier to post stuff:
A page from about 6 months ago...Gearing-up to start production on the Emma and Ash story - testing out boarders, digi-cross-hatching, 11x15 inch work size, etc....
It all seemed to be going well....but the end result was...just wrong. The basic style of the art was wrong. i knew that the style should have bold solid black areas - none here - the cross hatching was too fine, etc etc....
i was put off trying the next test page for a couple months trying to figure out what went wrong....
Still, it's a nice looking fail...
This is a scan of a printout as the original is lost for now in the crashed hard-drive i have yet to do data recovery on...
Pencil page in right style will follow as next post
Sorry for large file size - trying to figure out new software...

This is a hybrid of traditional pen and digital technique.
The pens work is done with steadtler and sakura pigma pens. The digital cross-hatching was done using my own patterns in PaintshopPro7 - my tutorial here:

You can make crosshatching patterns in Paintshop (you can still but v.7 - 8 - 9 on eBay), Photoshop, Painter, or in Gimp (i think)....
The digi-hatching is just a time saver - hand drawn is always better.
For the next couple months i am without my trusty digi programmes, and all the line art posted will be traditional unless otherwise noted.
