Mine don't. I can flick my tail and form a pillar of ice. In my world, Aquamancy is interpreted in 2 ways: Either by a mage who devotes years of his life mastering it, and decades learning to do it on his own, or those who are born with the inate ability to control water, allowing them to use it without physical or magical strain. Tyler is the latter. :3 His kind can use it naturally, and without the strain most mages need to cast spells.

His would be a latent talent.
