He's embarrassed about how exactly he lost his cloths, being that he lost them after the shark attack. He wished it was in an epic battle with the monsters that roam the island, or even somehow at the time of the incedent. At least then it wouldn't be his fault being stuck with only his custom underwear.
Why is it custom?
He outfits his pants and underwear to fit his large scrotum, otherwise they'd get crushed.
