Sadly the right blue (dark slightly grayish blue) could not be found for him so he has to be royal blue.

The toe color is ever so slightly different and the same will be true of the hands, lower arms and head for I am using seal blue vs shaving the long blue. Shaving that much long fur not only is time consuming, difficult to get right and is downright risky (one wrong move and BAM you have to remake a hand or refur part of a face) but this long fur shaved will look bad compared to using seal.
Seal fur (which is not real seal btw, it is a term for the type) is nice and smooth, but shaved DF longpile, even if shaved perfectly, will tend to look roughed up just due to the way the fur naturally "clusters" unless you shave it super short, shorter than seal fur, and that is not the look I want.


The same scaling (baby blue anti-pill fleece, a tad darker than the ref but again it was the best match I could find) will be on the lower arms and legs, the legs will overlap the tops of these and the leg scales will come down to the top of the toe scales.

making the arm scales match up with the finger scales is gonna be tricky :S

and he has a spiked fin from neck to tail tail tip
